Shamsher, 25, killed his eight-month pregnant wife Gulshaman, 26, Sunday in Loni town, police said.

"A criminal case has been registered. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem," said Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jagdish Sharma.

Police said they recovered a suicide note from the room in which Shamsher committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.

In his note, Shamsher allegedly blamed his father-in-law for trying to poison his wife's mind and create a rift between him and his brother Sarfaraz, 22.

Shamsher and Sarfaraz jointly ran a business of cooking gas stove repair in Gurgaon, police said.
