New Delhi, Jan 27: As reported by The Mobile Indian earlier, Micromax yesterday unveiled yet another smartphone under its Canvas series. The new smartphone, named Canvas HD A116, will be made available in the first week of February and will be priced under Rs 15,000.
We spent some time with Micromax Canvas HD and here is our first impression of the device.
Two major changes in the Micromax Canvas HD are that it comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
It has 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, which are expandable to up to 32 GB through a micro SD card. Like the older Canvas 2 it has a huge 5 inch display and comes with dual cameras as well, including an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front unit.
Moreover, it has support for 3G, WiFi 802.11 (b/g/n), Bluetooth, dual SIM and GPS/A-GPS. However, it has only a 2100 mAh battery.
