After years of persistence and perseverance the Afghanistan cricket team has finally come of age and it has been on display in the ongoing World Cup. Afghanistan stunned defending champions England and finally broke the Pakistan hoodoo in ODIs on Monday (October 23) as they routed the Babar Azam-led side by eight wickets in Chennai to win their second match of the marquee tournament. The win was a memorable one, called for celebrations and Afghans certainly know how to celebrate.

In a video that is taking the internet by storm, the Afghan cricketers can be seen shaking a leg to 'Lungi Dance', a popular song from Rohit Shetty's movie Chennai Express, with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The video seems to be from Afghanistan's team bus and shows the sheer ecstasy on the faces of the Afghan players after getting the better of their nemesis in ODIs - Pakistan.

The victory marked the end of Pakistan's one-sided dominance over Afghanistan in ODI cricket. Pakistan had won all the seven ODI matches played between the two countries leading into the World Cup encounter in Chennai and hence the win in Chennai is certainly going to be remembered for generations to come in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi was extremely delighted with the team's performance after the win and praised the young spin sensation Noor Ahmad who bagged a three-for on World Cup debut and laid the foundation of Afghanistan's victory.

"This win tastes nice. The way we chased today was very professional. We have been quality cricket for a couple of years. We will try our best to play positive cricket, and do a lot for our country. Today bowling was very good, especially spin bowling. We gave a chance to Noor, and he showed... The game was in our hands from the beginning till the end," said Shahidi during the post-match presentation.
