India vs Bangladesh, Highlights, Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai:

India vs Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2018, Super Four, Match 1: A clinical performance from the Indians. It was kind of expected too, given Bangladesh were relatively fatigued and some key players injured/half-fit. Though, not to take anything away from the Indians, they did a splendid job in all departments. Electing to field after winning the toss, they put the Tigers under immense pressure from the word go. The Indian pacers started it off picking early wickets and then, it was Jadeja who stole the show. He bagged 4 on his comeback into the ODI side and ran through the Bangladesh middle order. Kumar and Bumrah got 3 apiece for themselves too. Mehidy Hasan provided a late flurry towards the end and got Bangladesh to 173. (SCORECARD)

INDIA VS BANGLADESH, ASIA CUP 2018, SUPER FOUR, MATCH 1 HIGHLIGHTS FROM DUBAI

23.45 IST: India (174/3) beat Bangladesh (173) by 7 wickets in Dubai. Rohit 83*, Dhawan 40. Shakib Al Hasan to Dinesh Karthik, 1 run. A wicket as comfortable as any. Done in similar fashion too. Karthik adjusts his body and flicks the tossed up delivery through square leg for a single. Handshakes between Karthik and Sharma, nicely done.

23.40 IST: Dinesh Karthik walks in next.

23.39 IST: OUT! Mortaza removes Dhoni for 33. Dhoni departs trying to finish things off in style. Length ball outside off, the batsman charges down the track and looks to clear the cover boundary. Doesn't connect as well and it flies down the throat of Mohammad Mithun, who makes no mistake in taking it coming in from the deep. Something to maybe chuckle about for the Tigers. India 170/3 in 35.3 overs, need 4 runs to win vs Bangladesh (173) in Dubai.

23.31 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Rohit Sharma, no run. Slower in pace and fuller in length, outside the line of off stump, pushed gently to mid off to end the over.

23.25 IST: Meanwhile, we have just got the news that Bangladesh have added Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes to their depleted Asia Cup squad. Well, two games they have to change things - one against Afghanistan on Sunday and then against Pakistan.

23.20 IST: FOUR! Straight like an arrow! BANG! That's gone like a rocket! The power of Dhoni. It's a short of a length delivery around off, he stands tall and hammers it back down the ground. Almost takes the umpire's head along with that. No chance for anyone to stop it. None.

23.19 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to MS Dhoni, No ball! Mortaza oversteps and you know what that means - a Free Hit is about to come up. It's a length ball on off, MS clips it in front of square on the leg side.

23.18 IST: FOUR! Shot. Strong wrists from MS Dhoni. He waits for the ball to come and then kind of whips his wrists, uses those fast hands and crunches it through the covers. The fielder in the deep attempts to stop it with a dive but is unsuccessful in stopping it. IND 150/2 in 31.2 overs.

23.16 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to MS Dhoni, 1 run. Full and going away again outside off, driven by Dhoni to the right of point. The fielder there dives, makes a half-stop and so, the batsmen take a single. IND 146/2 in 31 overs, need 28 runs to win.

23.10 IST: FOUR! Landed short and it's punished! Can't be doing that against a class player like Rohit Sharma. He rocks back as he picks up the length early and pulls it powerfully over mid-wicket. One bounce and across the rope for a boundary. IND 141/2 in 29.5 overs.

23.03 IST: Mustafizur Rahman is back on.

23.00 IST: FOUR! Streaky but effective! Short and there is space to work with. Dhoni frees his arms and throws his bat at it. Ends up getting a thick outside edge towards third man. The fielder there runs to his left and dives full length but fails to stop it.

22.50 IST: SIX! Bang! Ro-HIT at it again. He just pounces the when it's the least expected. Hammers that deep to mid-wicket. IND 116/2 in 24.4 overs

22.49 IST: Nice way to get off the mark! On the shorter side of things, Dhoni hangs back and tucks it through mid-wicket. Wide vacant spaces there and he easily comes back for the third run.

22.48 IST: Surprise Surprise!! MS Dhoni comes into bat. At number 4. And boy does he know Bangladesh well.

22.46 IST: OUT! Rubel removes Ambati Rayudu for 13 after taking the review. The wicketkeeper heard it as the umpire stood still and immediately gave the signal. India lose their second wicket. IND 106/2 in 24 overs

22.40 IST: SIX! And that brings up the skipper's FIFTY! That is massive! Phew, wouldn't want to be a part of the opposition at the moment. Rohit brings up his 36th ODI half-century. A captains knock. Also, that brings up India's 100. IND 104/1 in 22.4 overs

22.30 IST: FOUR! WHAT A WAY TO CONCLUDE THE OVER! IND 89/1 in 20 overs.

22.29 IST: FOUR! Smashed. The fielder can't get to that as it was too hot to handle. IND 83/1 in 19.2 overs.

22.24 IST: Just one run from the over. Shakib is keeping it tight for the Indians. IND 79/1 in 19 overs.

22.10 IST: OUT! Shakib removes Dhawan for 40. Bangladesh draw first blood! Shakib tosses this one nicely on middle and off and it spins away. Dhawan kneels on one knee and tries to sweep it across but misses it to get pinged on the pads. The bowler and the keeper go up vociferously and the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. Shikhar goes across to his skipper and asks whether to take the review or not, to which, he says no. The southpaw has to take the long walk back. Replays show that had he opted for the DRS it wouldn't have made a difference as it was clipping the leg stump. India 61/1 in 14.2 overs, need 113 runs to win vs Bangladesh (173) in Dubai.

22.08 IST: IND 61/0 in 14 overs.

21.58 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Shikhar Dhawan, no run. Has that carried? Seems like it went on the bounce from the body language of the Bangladesh fielders. A bit shorter in length on off, spinning in. Dhawan hangs back and tucks it towards mid-wicket but fails to control it properly. The ball flies towards Mehidy Hasan at short mid-wicket. He gets low and seems to have taken it on the bounce. He is not sure whether he has taken it or not and the umpire takes it upstairs. Time for replays. Well, Hasan went for the catch with his fingers pointing downwards and that clearly hit the turf and his fingers simultaneously.

21.55 IST: FOUR!

21.50 IST: FOUR! Played late but lovely! Not in total control but still effective! Fullish ball outside off, Dhawan drives it through point but while he does so, his bottom hand comes off the bat. The timing is good enough to take the ball to the ropes.

21.48 IST: FOUR! Easy pickings! Length ball on leg stump, Dhawan moves inside the line and just has to get a tickle on it. He does so and the ball races away to the fine leg fence.  IND 41/0 in 8.2 overs.

21.42 IST: FOUR! Straight and stunning! Mustafizur is not successful in bowling a maiden! That was straight as an arrow. Overpitched ball on middle. Sharma with a high backlift lifts it over the bowler's head and away she goes. Delightful to watch. IND 34/0 in 7 overs.

21.34 IST: SIX! Clean as a whistle! Short ball attacking the body of Dhawan. It comes to him at a good height through. He stands tall and with his one leg up in the air, flamingo style, pulls it in front of square leg for a maximum. Ominous signs for the opposition. IND 27/0 in 4.4 overs.

21.32 IST: Mustafizur Rahman comes into the attack.

21.27 IST: FOUR! This one is majestic! He is batting with a lot of authority. Shikhar walks down the track and drills the overpitched delivery through covers to find the fence.

21.26 IST: FOUR! Width offered and duly accepted! Full ball wide outside off, Dhawan throws his bat at it and flays it over point to get his first boundary.  IND 15/0 in 2.3 overs.

21.24 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Shikhar Dhawan, no run.

21.17 IST: FOUR! Fine shot. On a length outside off, Rohit punches this through the covers and gets a boundary! IND 4/0 in 0.4 overs.

20.37 IST: Bangladesh all out for 173 in 49.1 overs against India in Dubai. Jadeja 4/29, Bhuvneshwar 3/32, Mehidy 42. Mustafizur Rahman OUT! All out with 5 balls to spare. A short ball, as has been the case in these last few deliveries, Mustafizur backs away, looks to pull but all he gets is a top edge. The ball has gone nowhere and Shikhar Dhawan takes it calmly at extra cover. BANGLADESH HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 173.

20.29 IST: Rubel Hossain is the last man in. Can 10 and 11 bat out 16 balls?

20.28 IST: OUT! Bumrah removes Mehidy for 42. Mehidy holes out. He had to go for it, given that only two wickets were left. A length ball, outside off, Hasan looks to slog across the line but is done in by the off cutter. There is less power in that shot and Shikhar Dhawan comes running in from deep mid-wicket to take a simple catch. This 42 from 50 has given Bangladesh some respectability at least. Bangladesh 169/9 in 47.2 overs vs India in Dubai.

20.24 IST: Mustafizur Rahman walks out at number 10, replacing his skipper.

20.23 IST: OUT! Bhuvneshwar removes Mortaza for 26. Caught at short fine leg. Mortaza departs and the excellent stand is broken. Walks across his sticks, takes the ball on the full and then tries to help it over short fine leg but does not get the elevation. Jasprit Bumrah over there times his jump to perfection and that ends the story. A superb partnership of 66 from 79 balls comes to an end. At least gives some respect to the total. Bangladesh 167/8 in 46.3 overs vs India in Dubai.

20.22 IST: SIX! And more! Bhuvi dishes out a length ball now, once again Mortaza backs away and hammers it. This time in front of the sightscreen!

20.21 IST: SIX! CLUBBED! A short ball outside off, Mortaza has a mighty heave-ho and clubs it over wide long on!

20.19 IST: For a second, it seemed like Mortaza was going off. However, the next moment, he takes strike, ready to play.

20.14 IST: Yuzvendra Chahal to Mehidy Hasan, 1 run. 50-RUN STAND! Some positive at last for Bangladesh. It has taken a longgggg time coming but it has come at last. Full and outside off, Mehidy dabs it towards short third man and takes the single. It has taken just 69 balls, so a more than decent effort.

20.05 IST: SIX! What a lovely shot! Mehidy, take a bow. With the pitch turning, he is not afraid to attack the spinners.  Jumps out, gets to the pitch of the ball and smashes the ball over extra cover. The ball goes all the way! Moves to 35 from 39 balls. The stand is worth 43 from 57 deliveries.

19.58 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza, TOP EDGE, SAFE... The googly, outside off, a touch wide, Mortaza look to go inside out but gets a top edge. The ball swirls in the air but does not carry to Yuzvendra Chahal at point. A single taken.

19.54 IST: POWERPLAY 3 indeed is on. Did not seem like it would come, a few overs ago. 5 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle now.

19.51 IST: SIX! CLOBBERED! The first biggie of the match. Chahal kept tossing it up and eventually Mehidy connected with one of his slog sweeps. Wayyy it sailed over mid-wicket.  BAN 127/7 in 39.4 overs.

19.41 IST: FOUR! 'THE UPAR CUT', says Brett Lee on air. In Hindi, upar means upper. One more short ball outside off, Mehidy arches back and deftly guides it over the leaping Shikhar Dhawan at wide first slip to the third man fence. Moves to 13 from 13 balls with his second boundary.

19.39 IST: Rohit Sharma is back on the field. So Gabbar can go back to relaxing on the field. Captaincy is back with the 'Hitman.'

19.37 IST: FOUR! Welcome back into the attack! On a length, around middle and leg, Mehidy flicks it over square leg. No one in the deep and it is a boundary.

19.36 IST: Jasprit Bumrah is back on. 6-1-25-1 so far. If India manage to bowl Bangladesh out before 1830 local, they might come out to bat for around 15-20 minutes. Then the Dinner break will be taken.

19.35 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mashrafe Mortaza, no run. Shortish again but this time it is outside off, Mortaza drops his wrists to let it be.  BAN 105/7 in 35 overs.

19.29 IST: Mehidy Hasan comes in at number 9. Surely the tail now?

19.28 IST: OUT! Jadeja removes Mosaddek Hossain for 12. Another one bites the dust! Mosaddek's sluggish knock comes to an end. Jadeja meanwhile is having a ball out there. He tosses this one up and drags his length back this time. Hossain kneels on one knee and tries to slog sweep it across but he is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. The ball turns away and takes the top edge of his bat. Dhoni behind the stumps is safe as a house. Bangladesh 101/7 in 33.2 overs vs India in Dubai.

19.25 IST: We are into the tail now. Mashrafe Mortaza comes out to bat at number 8, replacing Mahmudullah. Ahhh... my colleague tells me I am too harsh. Mortaza does not come in the tail. Ok... point accepted, mate.

19.24 IST: OUT! Bhuvneshwar removes Mahmudullah for 25. Mahmudullah has been adjudged LBW. He wants a review straightaway but he is informed there isn't any left! Mithun has already used it up. Mahmudullah is frustrated. And replays show why. Bhuvi lands this outside off, on a length and gets it to come back in a long way. Mahmudullah comes half-forward to defend but misses and is hit on the pads. The bowler appeals, the umpire takes his time and then raises his finger! Ahhh.... replays show a thick inside edge. Unlucky Mahmudullah. Unlucky Bangladesh. But that is how the game goes. The 36-run stand is finally broken.  Bangladesh 101/6 in 32.5 overs vs India in Dubai.

19.17 IST: Jadeja is back on.

19.15 IST: FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries bring Bangladesh close to 100. Now Kuldeep reacts by dropping it short and over-compensates. Just what Mahmudullah wanted. Goes back and punches it through the covers for successive boundaries.

19.14 IST: FOUR! A BOUNDARY AFTER 59 BALLS. That will come as some sort of a relief for Bangladesh. Tossed up, outside off, Mahmudullah gets down and reverse sweeps it past short third man! BAN 95/3 in 30.4 overs.

19.10 IST: Now we see Rohit off the field. Shikhar Dhawan is the acting captain.

19.07 IST: Kuldeep Yadav to Mahmudullah, no run. The batsman defends it from within the crease. BAN 87/5 in 29 overs.

19.02 IST: Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who had gone off the field a few overs ago, is back on the field. He is on the ropes and seems to be enjoying himself with the crowd.

18.57 IST: Stumped? Dhoni has produced another beauty. But the naked eye reckons that Mosaddek is in.

18.52 IST: Kuldeep Yadav to Mosaddek Hossain, no run. Thrown up, outside off, driven straight to cover.

18.49 IST: Kuldeep Yadav is back on. 3-0-9-0 so far. Chahal gets a break. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan is going off the field.

18.47 IST: Mosaddek Hossain DROPPED! Third caught and bowled chance put down by Chahal in this Asia Cup. Full, around middle, Mosaddek comes forward and looks to go down the ground. He does not time it well and the ball goes back to the bowler. Chahal dives full length to his right but does not take it. He dropped one against Hong Kong, in the last game as well and now today. Should have taken all three, especially when he finishes his bowling action so quickly.

18.44 IST: Interesting thoughts from Scott Styris on air. With the pitch turning so much, it will be tempting for Rohit to have his off side packed. But he has kept an in-out field. Why? Because of the deadly googly which Chahal possesses. So the skipper wants some protection on the leg side. Though, the Kiwi also says that Rohit can do one thing. He can have two slips and then bring mid-wicket to the off side. By doing so, he can leave that region vacant and entice the batsmen to go against the turn.

18.38 IST: FOUR! Dragged short, outside off, Mahmudullah rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary!

18.35 IST: Ravindra Jadeja to Mosaddek Hossain, no run. Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. JUST 23/2 from overs 11-20.  BAN 67/5 in 20 overs.

18.30 IST: Mosaddek Hossain walks in at number 7, replacing Rahim.

18.29 IST: OUT! Jadeja removes Rahim for 21. Caught! Half the side is down and Bangladesh, Bangladesh, Bangladesh - are going down very badly. One of their best batsman is gone. Full and outside off, Rahim brings out the reverse sweep but can only hit it as far as short third man. Yuzvendra Chahal leaps and takes it nicely. 5th wicket down in 18 overs. Will we get to Powerplay 3?  Bangladesh 65/5 in 18 overs vs India in Dubai.

18.23 IST: Mushfiqur Rahim NOT OUT. There did not seem to be enough evidence to rule Rahim out. A lovely big spinning leg spinner from the leg spinner Chahal, pitching around middle and then spinning away. Rahim got down and went for a sweep but missed. Dhoni collected and whipped off the bails and then appealed loudly. He reckoned that was out and had it referred upstairs. Plenty of replays were seen and eventually, it was too close to call. Not sure, hence not out. And now, delving into the numbers, Dhoni took just 0.2 seconds to whip the bails off! Terrific keeping.

18.19 IST: Mahmudullah is the new man in at number 6, replacing Mithun.

18.18 IST: OUT! Jadeja removes Mithun for 9. Pad first it is and Mithun is a goner! Plumb LBW. The straight ball, as is always from Jaddu, Mithun looked to defend but got hit on the pads. The ball seemed to hit the bat and pad at the same time. Jadeja appealed, in fact, he was the lone one appealing as Dhoni was not too sure. The umpire thought for a while and then raised his finger. The two batsmen got together, had a small chat and then referred it upstairs. There was an element of doubt with the ball hitting the bat and the pad at the same time but eventually, after a few replays, the third umpire went with the pad first call. Looking further, Hawk Eye shows three reds and Mithun has to depart. Another stand which was looking a bit threatening has been dislodged.  Bangladesh 60/4 in 15.4 overs vs India in Dubai.

18.16 IST: Jadeja strikes! Mithun has been adjudged LBW but he has reviewed it. Is it pad first or bat first? Seems to be pad first to the naked eye...

18.06 IST: FOUR! This one comes as a full toss and Mithun gets out the reverse lap. The ball races past short third man and races to the fence.

18.00 IST: Kuldeep Yadav to Mohammad Mithun, Huge LBW shout, but not out. India do not review. Very full, probably pitching outside leg, which is why the fielding side might not have bothered about a second look. Mithun went for the sweep but missed and was hit on the pads. Well, Hawk Eye shows the ball to be pitching in line but projects the ball to be spinning down and clipping the leg stump. So the decision would have stayed.

17.55 IST: POWERPLAY 2 time. 4 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle till the 40th over. Kuldeep Yadav to bowl as well.

17.52 IST: Mohammad Mithun is the new man in at number 5, replacing Shakib.

17.51 IST: OUT! Jadeja removes Shakib for 17. Gone this time! Poor cricket from Shakib. On the previous boundary, the ball had travelled aerially through square leg. And then, Rohit placed a man exactly at square leg. Shakib again repeated his last shot. Only this was tossed a bit wider outside off. Shakib had to reach out, to try and fetch that. He aimed to go over square leg but instead, handed a simple catch to Shikhar Dhawan. Bangladesh in deep, deep trouble.  Bangladesh 42/3 in 9.4 overs vs India in Dubai.

17.49 IST: FOUR! Consecutive boundaries! Full and on middle, Shakib gets down and mows it through square leg. Jasprit Bumrah races to his left from deep mid-wicket and puts in a desperate dive but in vain.

17.48 IST: FOUR! Full toll of that extra ball. Tossed up outside off, Shakib leans and lofts it over cover for a boundary!  BAN 38/2 in 9.2 overs.

17.46 IST: FREE HIT TIME! Hang on, what is happening out there? Jadeja bowled a full toss on the Free Hit and Shakib slapped it towards mid off. But while the bowler was delivering, the umpire was stopping him. However, by that time, Jaddu had already delivered. Now, the umpire signals a dead ball. Rohit Sharma is not happy and has a long discussion with the umpire but Ahsan Raza is firm. So the Free Hit continues.

17.45 IST: Spin from both ends. Ravindra Jadeja to bowl for the first time in this Asia Cup.

17.43 IST: Yuzvendra Chahal to Mushfiqur Rahim, 1 run. TOP EDGE, SAFE! More luck for Rahim. Tossed up outside off, the Bangladesh keeper-batsman tries to sweep against the spin. However, a top edge is induced and it flies in the air. Short fine leg runs across to his left while deep mid-wicket runs in, but the ball lands in between. A single taken.

17.41 IST: First sign of spin. Here's Yuzvendra Chahal.

17.39 IST: FOUR! INSIDE EDGE, PAST DHONI! Unbelievable delivery from Bumrah. How does he get so much movement? Even in these conditions? Does anyone remember Keaton Jennings' LBW dismissal in England in one of the Tests where he shouldered arms and was out LBW? Well, this was similar, only the other way. On a length, but wide outside off. Now, Rahim looks to push at that, a bit away from his body, probably looking to tap and run. But the ball comes in a long way, takes the inside edge and flies past the flying Dhoni to his left, all the way to the fine leg fence! Bumrah has his hands on his head and then smiles.  BAN 26/2 in 7.4 overs.

17.35 IST: FOUR! HANDSOME! The support seems to be tremendous for Bangladesh today. A half volley outside off, Shakib leans and drives it through the covers for a boundary! 5 runs and a wicket from that over, Bumrah's figures read 3-1-12-1.

17.32 IST: Brett Lee on air observes the run-up of Bumrah. The Aussie speedster counts the number of steps taken by Jasprit and he gets to 10 or 11. Now, Binga is not particularly happy with that. He says while it is okay for now, in the long run, this short run-up could cause injuries to Bumrah. As a fast bowler, you need pace in your run-up as well, says Lee. So, more the number of steps, more is the pace. However, with this method, the body needs that extra effort to push for more pace.

17.28 IST: Mushfiqur Rahim walks in at number 4, replacing Nazmul.

17.27 IST: OUT! Bumrah removes Hossain Shanto for 7. Edged, dropped but caught in the second attempt! One wicket beings the fall of another. Short and outside off, Shanto slashes hard at that, on seeing the width. But there is no feet movement and all it results is in a thick outside edge. The ball flies to first slip where Shikhar Dhawan fumbles initially as the ball bursts through his palm. But it lobs straight up and he catches it in the second attempt. He then celebrates by clapping his thigh. Bangladesh 16/2 in 5.1 overs vs India in Dubai.

17.22 IST: In walks Shakib Al Hasan at number 3, replacing Das.

17.21 IST: OUT! Bhuvneshwar removes Liton Das for 7. There goes the first wicket! Das is bounced out. India get their first scalp. A short ball outside off, Das is compelled into the pull shot but the height of the bouncer is probably a bit too steep for him. He tries his best to keep it down but the pace and bounce are too much for him. The top edge flies down to long leg where Kedar Jadhav covers good ground to his left and takes an excellent catch diving sidewards. Early breakthrough. Bangladesh 15/1 in 4.3 overs vs India in Dubai.

17.17 IST: FOUR! BRUTAL! First boundary of the innings. A short ball outside off, Das swivels back and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary!  BAN 14/0 in 3.4 overs.

17.12 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Liton Das, no run. Oopss... but a great call from the umpire. Das jumps down the track and Bhuvi's response is to bowl a bouncer, way outside off. Das lets it go but since he was way down the track, he is not wided.

17.06 IST: Jasprit Bumrah to bowl with the second new ball.

17.05 IST: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Liton Das, 1 run. Full and outside off, pushed wide of mid off for a quick single. Excellent opening over from Bhuvneshwar.

17.00 IST: Done and dusted. Let's play now. The Indian team gets into a huddle. Out come the Bangladesh openers. Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto will aim to see off the new balls first. Finally, the Indians disperse. Who will bowl first up? Bhuvi? Yes. Das is on strike. Here we go!

16.40 IST: Captain's Corner:

Rohit Sharma: Bowling first suits us, we have played few games here and we understand the conditions here now. it gets better under the lights so it is better to chase. It is out strength and we will like to do that. Pitch is similar to what we play in India but it is litte more dry. We are used to these conditions. We have played 2 game now and we understand the conditions much better. Just 1 change for us. Unfortunate injury to Hardik, he misses out and Jadeja comes in place of him.

Mashrafe Mortaza: We would have batted on this wicket. It is a very important match. Hopefully we will play well. Mushy comes in and Mustafizur too.

16.35 IST: Playing XIs

India: Rohit Sharma (C), Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni(WK), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal

Bangladesh: Liton Das (WK), Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza (C), Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman

16.30 IST: TOSS! India win toss and opt to bowl against Bangladesh.

16.00 IST: Hello and welcome to our Live Coverage of the India vs Bangladesh match, which is the first Super Four clash of the Asia Cup 2018. Stay tuned as we bring you all the latest updates.

Brief Preview:

Pakistan pummelled, India will look to up the ante against Bangladesh, who have a penchant for playing the party poopers, in their opening Super Four encounter of the Asia Cup here Friday. For India, the worry will be the team combination as Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the tournament owing to back spasms, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar might be rested after back-to-back games against Hong Kong and Pakistan. Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed may come in place of Bhuvneshwar but it is still not clear as to who would be Pandya's replacement. Deepak Chahar is flying in as the replacement player but it is unlikely that he will be drafted straightaway into the playing XI. Manish Pandey can add batting depth and looks a possible addition in the middle-order, while Kedar Jadhav's off breaks are more than handy, and he is expected to take care of Pandya's quota of overs.
