London, Oct 15: A 45-year-old woman from the US state of Georgia has given birth to her grandson after IVF treatment because her daughter could not conceive.
Angie Stockton's daughter Krista Saxon asked her to bear her child as a “gestational carrier” because she was unable to carry the baby through pregnancy herself, the Daily Mail reported.
The baby named Tucker spent nine months inside the womb of his grandmother, before becoming the fourth baby to be born to his or her grandmother in the US, and the first in Georgia.
Stockton said it has been 26 years since she was pregnant, and she forgot a lot of things. So her daughter had to tell her what to expect.
The Saxons - Krista and her husband Trent - said if they decide to extend their family they will be adopting.
