Actor Varun Dhawan’s latest release Judwaa 2 is performing exceptionally well at the box office. The movie has so far minted Rs 98.08 cr and is set to Rs 100 crore club today. The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media. It seems that the movie is emerging as the second box office success after Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2. Judwaa 2 is the remake of 1997 film Judwaa that featured superstar Salman Khan.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “#Judwaa2 Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr, Tue 8.05 cr, Wed 6.72 cr, Thu 6.06 cr. Total: ₹ 98.08 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT.”
The film earned Rs 16.10 cr in its opening day and then collected Rs 20.55 cr and 22.60 cr on Saturday and Sunday. The long weekend worked in the favour of the film. This indeed is a great news for Varun and his fans.
Judwaa 2 will be Varun’s second consecutive 100 crore film after Badrinath Ki Dulhania. He shared the screen space with actress Alia Bhatt in the film.
Along with Varun, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles. David Dhawan’s directorial venture has some chartbusters of the 1997 and Varun perfectly adds a different flavour to them.
