Nearly four days after Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge stirred a hornet's nest after he called Prime Minister 'a poisonous snake', his son Priyank Kharge on Monday created another controversy by uttering "abusive" words against the PM.

The critical remarks from Kharge came while addressing a migrant community (Banjara) event in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district.

Earlier on Saturday, the Prime Minister recalled how Opposition parties used to abuse him during different events or occasions. He shared a list of abusive words that he claimed the Congress party uttered at least 91 times since he became Prime Minister in 2014.

PM Modi cannot work for migrant community: Kharge

With the latest addition to the bucket of abusive words, Priyank used "n*****k" (worthless) while attacking PM Modi. He asserted how could he work for the migrant community if he slashed reservations for the backward class.

"While addressing a rally, the PM had assured the Banjara community to resolve all their grievances. But, how could a man resolve your issue if he is working against the reservation of the backward class," he stressed.

"What kind of son he is, if he is working against the backword class," added Priyank.

When Mallikarjun remarks stirred controversy

While addressing a rally in the same district, Mallikarjun said, "PM Modi is like a 'poisonous snake', you might think it’s poison or not. If you lick it, you’re dead..." However, the Congress chief, in an attempt to damage control quickly clarified that he meant that 'BJP's ideology is 'like a snake'. "It wasn't meant for PM Modi, what I meant was BJP's ideology is 'like a snake'. I never said this personally for PM Modi, what I said was their ideology is like a snake and if you try to touch it, your death is certain," Kharge said.
