Sau took leave on Thursday citing his daughter's illness. Meanwhile Kolkata Police while going through the footage of CCTV camera installed on Chowringhee, bang opposite Big Bazaaar, stumbled on Sau's face, taking out his trolley.

The face was shown to Big Bazaaar officials, and Police on Saturday picked him up from his home in Baksara, Howrah, alongwith some of the stolen goods.

Sau, who earns hardly Rs 9000 a month, has two infant daughters. He said, he committed the burglary because he could hardly make both ends meet.

Sau has been send to police custody for 6 days to recover all the stolen goods.
