Greater Noida: The 12th Auto Expo 2014 has created a lot of buzz among Indian media regarding what the show will bring to the consumers in the coming year. The show lived upto its expectations as consumers witnessed hoards of new launches, concept cars, technology –loaded cars and motorcycles along with gorgeous booth babes. The good part about the show was the way it connects the automakers and customers.Some carmakers brought in several cars which are already tried and tested internationally; others launched their latest offering in the country. Overall, there was innovation and beauty of four wheels all around. Take a look at those models which you can go and buy this year: Tata BoltAt Auto Expo 2014, Tata Motors showcased its 18 vehicles and concept including the Tata Bolt. Tata Motors Zest and Bolt have been designed and developed on 3 company principles, DesigNext, DriveNext, and ConnectNext. Both new cars benefit from collaborative design inputs from the three of the company's design studios in Pune, Coventry (UK) and Turin ( Italy). Priced at around Rs 4.7 lakh, this car will be available for booking in July-September 2014.Maruti Suzuki CelerioMaruti Suzuki has launched the Celerio hatchback, which comes with the country's most affordable clutch-less option. With its launch, the company aims to revolutionize the compact car segment by challenging the belief that automatic cars are not as efficient as manual transmission ones. The car comes with revolutionary Auto Shift Gear christened as the EZ Drive to ensure superior mileage. The Celerio will be made available in six variants, three in manual transmission and two in the Auto Gear Shift. MSIL claims that the new Celerio comes with a best in class efficiency of 23.1kmpl for both the Auto Shift Gear as well as the MT variant. The base LXi variant in the MT trip will be made available at Rs 3.90 lakh while the top of the line ZXi (optional) is priced at Rs 4.96 lakh. Auto Gear Shift will be available in the LXi and the VXi variants at Rs 4.29 lakh and Rs 4.59 lakh respectively. All prices ex-showroom Delhi. Honda Jazz The new generation Honda Jazz made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2014. The all-new model builds on the Jazz's innovative packaging, flexible cargo capability and fun-to-drive character with spacious and refined interior. For India, the Jazz will come with petrol and diesel variants. The petrol engine would be the 1.2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder motor which finds its place in the Brio. In the Brio, this engine develops 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. The new Jazz comes with several comfort features such as power steering with mounted audio controls, audio system with front and rear speakers, USB, Aux-in, FM and CD/MP3 player support, an auto volume leveller, plenty of storage options, stylish instrument cluster, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, climate control unit, front and rear power windows. It is equipped with advanced safety features like G-CON technology with ECU, ABS with EBD and brake assist along with standard safety features, the new Jazz crossover promises a safe and secure drive. It should be available for booking by the end of this year and is likely to be priced between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.Hyundai XcentHyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country's largest exporter and the second-largest car manufacturer, unveiled its highly anticipated compact sedan "Xcent". With this model, Hyundai enters the highly competitive sub-4m compact sedan segment. The Grand i10-based sedan will take on the likes of the Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze. The Xcent will be available in both petrol and diesel options with manual as well as automatic transmission options. On the front, it gets swept back smoked headlamps and the rear gets wrap-around tail lamps with chrome inserts. The rear bumper gets a dual tone sporty look. The car comes with 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels and the interiors looks spacious. In addition, the car gets a rear parking camera and climate control. It will be available for booking by July or September 2014 and is expected to cost anything between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 8 lakh.Tata ZestTata Motors unveiled its Zest sedan to tap into the small car market that accounts for the bulk of passenger vehicle sales in India. Both Zest and Bolt hatchback will be powered by the company's new Revotron engine series. The Zest and Bolt will be powered by the Turbocharged Intercooled Multi-point Fuel-Injected (MPFi) Petrol Engine, REVOTRON 1.2T. The diesel variant of Zest will have F-Tronic technology-enabled, 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission and will be powered by a 90PS engine with 200 Nm of torque. These two new products are based on the company's enhanced X1 platform, on which the existing Vista and Manza models are built. Zest boasts of projector head lamps with chrome accents, daytime running lights, 15 inch alloy wheels among other specifications. Interesting specifications include a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth technology, smart voice recognition, smartphone integration, supporting phone enabled navigation, social media integration, touch phone controlled interface. The car will have EPAS (Electronic Power Assisted System), with 'Active Return' function and speed sensitive power steering.Toyota Etios CrossToyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled its first crossover, 'New Etios Cross', aimed at country's youth. Available in 1.5 and 1.2 litre petrol engines and a 1.4 litre diesel engine, the crossover would be launched in May this year but the company has already started taking bookings. The price of the model, which has the design appeal of an SUV, will be revealed in May, but it will be priced between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh. Skoda Superb 2014Czech carmaker Skoda will launch the 2014 Superb sedan facelift on February 10, 2014. The new Skoda Superb carries over the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine and the 1.8-litre TSI petrol. While the oil burner develops 138bhp, the gasoline mill churns out a max power output of 158bhp. Both the exteriors and interiors now look sportier than previous model. The front fascia of the car now has a new grille, Octavia-like bumper, newly designed headlamps with integrated daytime running LED's. The rear sports a redefined tail lamps with LED treatment, revamped boot and the licensing plate is now moved up to the boot-lid. With a seating capacity of 5, the car will cost anything between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.Toyota Corolla AltisToyota showcased its Corolla Altis at the Auto Expo 2014. Consumers can expect this car to be available for booking by April-May 2014. The car's petrol version will cost Rs 12-17 lakh and its diesel variant is likely to cost Rs 13-18 lakh.Honda MobilioHonda showcased its multi-utility vehicle Mobilio at the Auto Expo 2014. Based on Honda's popular Brio hatchback platform, the new Mobilio MPV looks very young and sporty. The front fascia of the new MPV resembles the company's Amaze sedan through its new headlights, oval fog lamps with black plastic casing, bold horizontal slat chrome grille and other styling elements. The rear also comes with new tail lamps cluster and windscreen. The wheelbase of MPV is increased by 245mm, which is now measured around 2650mm. The MPV features three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioner, twin dials and music system. The MPV offers good boot space. It is powered by a 117bhp, 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 98bhp, 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel unit, which are used for the Amaze. The new Honda Mobilio MPV will directly compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia in India. It is likelyt to cost between Rs 12-17 lakh.Fiat AvventuraItalian auto major Fiat unveiled its Avventura compact crossover at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Fiat Avventura is a more rugged-looking version of the Punto, and both the cars share most parts, components and platform. The Avventura looks more aggressive with roof rails, rear-mounted spare wheel and side cladding with 'Avventura' written on it. The rear-mounted wheel gives the car an SUV feel. It offers premium upholstery and better features than the regular version. This car will be launched between July and December 2014 and expected to cost anything between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.
