Tata Zest
Tata Motors unveiled its Zest sedan to tap into the small car market that accounts for the bulk of passenger vehicle sales in India. Both Zest and Bolt hatchback will be powered by the company's new Revotron engine series. The Zest and Bolt will be powered by the Turbocharged Intercooled Multi-point Fuel-Injected (MPFi) Petrol Engine, REVOTRON 1.2T. The diesel variant of Zest will have F-Tronic technology-enabled, 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission and will be powered by a 90PS engine with 200 Nm of torque. These two new products are based on the company's enhanced X1 platform, on which the existing Vista and Manza models are built. Zest boasts of projector head lamps with chrome accents, daytime running lights, 15 inch alloy wheels among other specifications. Interesting specifications include a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth technology, smart voice recognition, smartphone integration, supporting phone enabled navigation, social media integration, touch phone controlled interface. The car will have EPAS (Electronic Power Assisted System), with 'Active Return' function and speed sensitive power steering.
