Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat was shot at by terrorists at the Tehsildar office in Chadoora. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but succumbed to injuries.
One of the three killed terrorists linked to Hizbul Mujahideen has been identified as Ashraf Molvi -- one of the oldest surviving terrorists of the outfit in Jammu and Kashmir.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested hybrid terrorist was in contact with Pakistan based terrorists as well as local terrorists of proscribed outfit LeT and tasked to execute terror incident.
A gas cylinder explosion is expected to be the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

The search operation was conducted based on specific intelligence inputs by the Poonch Brigade of White Knight Corps and SOG Poonch in village Noorkote of Tehsil Haveli.
Police said they were shifted to District Hospital Pulwama in injured condition, wherefrom Singh was referred to SHMS (Shri Maharaja Hari Singh) hospital in Srinagar.
Kashmiri Pandits held special prayers at the Mata Sharika Devi temple. The temple is situated on a hillock called the 'Hari Parbat' in the middle of old city of Srinagar.
The Sharda Peeth Temple, a symbol of the faith of Kashmiri Pandits, is about 5000 years old. Kashmir is the center of reverence for the whole of India including the Pandits.
"At about 8:35 pm, terrorists fired at and critically injured SPO Ishfaq Ahmad near his residence at Chadbugh in Budgam," one of the officials said.
