ICC releases World Cup 2019 official song 'Stand By'

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the official song for the upcoming ICC World Cup on Friday evening. The song is titled- 'Stand By', which is a collaboration between UK artist LORYN and one of the most successful English bands Rudimental.

The first match of World Cup 2019 will be played between hosts England and South Africa on May 30 at Kennington Oval, London. The official song will be played across the UK to gains public attention for the mega cricketing event.

ICC took to their World Cup Twitter account to release the song for the cricket fans across the world," The Official #CWC19 Song is here! 'Stand By' from @thisisloryn & @Rudimental is out now."

Last time in 2015, Australia won the World Cup trophy for the record fifth time under Michael Clarke leadership and this year they will do anything in their capacity to defend the coveted title.

While, according to many cricket critics India and England are the top favourites to win the World Cup this year as the Men in Blue have a very balanced side with key players in every department, on the other hand, in-form hosts will get the home advantage.

Apart from these three teams, South Africa and New Zealand are always a side to look for in big ICC tournaments.

This year the World Cup will have round-robin format in which all 10 teams will face each other throughout the course of the tournament. India will start their World Cup journey on June 6 against South Africa at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
