A Public Interest Litigation (PIL), filed in the Delhi High Court, has sought imposition of a "strict lockdown" in the national capital in view of the rising coronavirus cases. The plea comes at a time when the Delhi government has estimated the cases to mount to 5.5 lakh by July 31.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has tested negative for coronavirus. Earlier on Monday, the chief minister had complained of mild fever and sore throat. He took a test for COVID1-9 today. The fever has subsided and he is now feeling well, an official said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal underwent coronavirus test on Tuesday after he developed COVID-19 like symptoms. He had complained of sore throat and mild fever after which all meetings scheduled since Sunday were cancelled and gone into self-isolation.
