Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader P. Chadmambaram for seeking proof of the September 28 surgical strikes carried out by Indian army across Line of Control.
"By questioning the surgical strikes, Kejriwal has given fodder to Pakistan's media to cast doubts over actions of Indian army," Prasad told reporters here.
"I want to ask Arvind Kejriwal whether he believes in the extraordinary valour of our Army or not . If yes, then why are you getting influenced by the false propaganda of Pakistan?" Prasad added.
Responding to Chidambaram's poser on surgical strikes, Prasad said, "I want to ask him if he is also joining the bandwagon of doubting capacity of our jawans in conducting #SurgicalStrike."
Prasad also demanded clarification from Congress president Sonia Gandhi over her party's stand on the issue.
Kejriwal had on Monday requested PM Narendra Modi to bring video footage of the strikes in public, to counter Pakistan's smear campaign on international stage.
"I may have differences with the PM over 100 issues. But when he has shown the will, I salute him," Kejriwal had said.
Kejriwal also said that he salutes the Modi for taking strict measures against Pakistan despite having differences on other matters.
The special forces on late Wednesday night carried out surgical strikes in the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and destroyed seven terror launch pads.
