Israel-Hamas War: Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that innocent people are being killed in Gaza bombings and the world has proved that there are different laws for Russia and Israel, amid ongoing war in Hamas.

J&K's former Chief Minister said, "Since the first day, we have been opposing what is happening in Gaza. Innocent people are being killed in Gaza bombings... The world has proved that there are different laws for Russia and Israel... What Russia did to Ukraine was a war crime; then what Israel is doing to Gaza is not wrong? Both things cannot be correct. Now the world will have to decide what is right..."

Omar Abdullah asked why the world is silent over Palestine-Isreal war, when Russia stopped water and essential commodities during Ukraine war, it was termed as war crime, so why it's not applicable when Israel and Palestine war is considered.

On India sending aid to Palestine, Omar said that New Delhi openly supported Isreal... sending humanitarian aid to Gaza is good but it's like a drop in ocean as it's also getting stopped.

On Mirwaiz's and other political detainees, Omar said it was the government which some days ago highlighted the release of Mirwaiz saying that the situation is well in J&K, if that's the case then why not they permit Friday prayers.

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija Mufti said that they condemn every war weather its Russia-Ukraine or Palestine-Israel as civilians get killed in all sort of wars.

People in the entire country are terrified to speak that's why protests aren't seen in Kashmir... I hope I.N.D.I.A. alliance will support and stand with Palestine and condemn what's happening there.

After 2019, a worrying pattern has emerged in Kashmir. Whenever PDP wants to hold a peaceful protest over the abrogation of Article 370 or on Palestine situation, we are not being allowed by the administration.

Since yesterday, scores of our workers and top leadership were placed under house arrest... three days back when Mehbooba Mufti tried to protest on the Palestine situation, she was manhandled by security personnel, she alleged.

"I want to ask the local government why PDP has been the target of administration every time. The approach of the administration towards PDP is completely biased and prejudiced. It's our fundamental right to protest peacefully," Mehbooba's daughter said.

"We see the shift of Indian foreign policy towards Israel. Palestine is a cause which has remained close to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We too condemn the situation in Ukraine. But the situation in Palestine is too worrisome. The babies are being targeted there," she added.

India's stand in the past (during the regime of Nehru and Gandhi) was to stand with the people of Palestine, she mentioned.
