When some of the priests and a few students from the gurukul confronted the attackers, they were mercilessly beaten up.

The incident ignited  fury amongst the local  residents who demanded speedy action from the police.

People protested outside the SP office, as police officials assured quick action.

The Pakka Ghat temple is not only a shrine, but also provides education to students who are part of the gurukul.
