Kidnapped school girl rescued after 15 days from Bihar

New Delhi: A class XI girl who was abducted from Serampore, Kolkata 15 days ago has been rescued by the police form Ara in Bihar along with the culprit.

According to the police, the girl was abducted by Ashraf Alam on November 8, while she was on her way to school.

Although victim's family has registered the girl's missing complaint in the police and were looking for the girl at all possible places, but it was all in vain.

The girl told the police that the accused told her about some emergency at her place and took her along with him. While on the way he gave the victim some biscuit which made her unconscious, and then took her to Delhi.

After being in confinement for a couple of days in a house in Delhi, the girl somehow managed to call her uncle and indicate her location, after which the girl's family informed the Delhi Police.

The Delhi Police along with the Hoogly Police started tracking the accused on the basis of his mobile location which indicated that he was heading towards Ara in Bihar.

Ashraf was nabbed by the police along with the girl, the moment he got down at Ara station.

While Ashraf was brought to Serampore on transit remand by the police, the girl was handed over to her parents.
