Amid preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Samajwadi Party (SP) declared a 182-member state executive unit on Sunday, which was dissolved after the 2022 assembly elections by party president Akhilesh Yadav.   The party shared the list of this executive team on its official Twitter handle, with Naresh Uttam Patel appointed as the chairman.

This executive team comprises four vice-chairpersons, three general secretaries, 61 secretaries, members and 62 special invitee members besides others. Rajkumar Mishra has been appointed as the treasurer. Additionally, senior SP member Mohammad Azam Khan's son Abdullah Azam Khan has been made the state secretary of the party.

Party's chief spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhury said that the 182-member state executive was declared after Akhilesh Yadav's approval. "With the consent of the National President of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister, Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Shri Naresh Uttam Patel has been announced as the President of the 182-member state executive committee.
