As per the advisory, airline staff will face action if they fail to act against passengers who behave inappropriately.
The victim alleged that despite her unwillingness, the airline staff forced her to negotiate with the accused, further disorientating her, according to the FIR.
Air India news: The DGCA said in a statement that a show cause notice has been issued to the Accountable Manager of Air India, the Director of in-flight Services of Air India, all the pilots and cabin crew members of the flight.
The incident happened on December 6 on Air India flight 142 and the pilot of the aircraft reported the matter to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport about it.
Air India sent a reply to DGCA's January 4 notice, detailing the incident that happened on board AI 102 flight of November 26, 2022 and stated that the unnamed business class offender has been banned from flying on Air India for 30 days, pending a report of its Internal Committee.
Air India news: The Police on Wednesday (January 4) filed an FIR on the shocking incident based on a complaint by Air India. The police have registered an FIR in the matter under sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act.
