G20: Joe Biden to arrive in Delhi tomorrow, VK Singh to welcome him | Check who will receive other heads

The official said the US is bringing in over 20 aircraft over a week-long period around the summit which will be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10.

US President Joe Biden is expected to reach India for G20 summit on Friday. The US President will be received by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation General (Retd.) VK Singh at 6:55 pm on Friday. The official said the US is bringing in over 20 aircraft over a week-long period around the summit.

Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida will be received by Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey at 2:15 pm. Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese will be received by Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar at 6:15 pm.

While UAE President Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will be received by Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai at 8 and 8:45 pm respectively, Darshana Vikram Jardosh, the Minister of State for Textiles and Railways, will welcome Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 12:30 pm. Ashwini Kumar Choubey will receive United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 1:40 pm and VK Singh will also welcome Premier of China Li Qiang at 7:45 pm. Singh will also receive Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte at 8:15 pm.

Chandrashekhar will also receive South Korean President Suk Yeol Yoon at 5:10 pm, Egypt President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at 5:45 pm and Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at 7 pm.

Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggansingh Kulaste will receive Argentina President Alberto Fernandez at 6:20 am. Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje will welcome Italy's Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni at 8:50 am.

Minister of State for Railways, Coal and Mines Raosaheb Danve will receive Azali Assoumani, the President of the Union of the Comoros and President of the African Union, at 10:25 am and South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa at 11:45 am.

Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur will receive Indonesia President Joko Widodo at 9:15 pm, Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at 10:15 pm and Spain President Pedro Sanchez Perez Castejon at 10:45 pm. French President Emmanuel Macron will be received by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel at 12:35 pm on September 9 (Saturday).

According to sources, there will be a press conference in the afternoon at Bharat Mandapam on Friday. Three bilateral meetings are also scheduled for tomorrow. The most important will be with the US in the evening at around 7:45 pm for 45 minutes. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be heading to Bangladesh right after the summit hence the bilateral meeting with Germany is unlikely at the moment, sources added. Scholz will be received by Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma on September 9 (Saturday) at 8 am.
