    Sadhu found dead in well UP's Bhadohi

    Police on Sunday found a sadhu's body inside a well in Kotwali area of Bhadohi city, an official said. The sadhu turned out to be a 60-year-old Nand Lal Maurya, a resident of Gyanpur area of the district, Circle Officer (CO) Bhuvaneshwar Kumar Pandey said.

    Russian strikes on Ukraine kill 2 foreign aid workers and target Kyiv

    Two foreign aid workers were reportedly killed in eastern Ukraine on Sunday as Russian shelling hit a van carrying a team of four working with a Ukrainian nongovernmental organization, while dozens of Russian drones targeted Kyiv and wounded at least one civilian. The four volunteers from the Road to Relief group, which helps evacuate wounded people from front-line areas, were trapped inside the van as it flipped over and caught fire after being struck by shells near the town of Chasiv Yar, the organization said on its Instagram page.

    Gas cylinder explodes in Haryana's Ambala, 3 suffer serious burns

    A cooking gas cylinder exploded at a fast-food shop in Haryana's Ambala district on Sunday resulting in serious burns to three people, police said. The shop is located in a market in Shahzadpur. A six-year-old child was among those who got badly burnt and all the three were admitted to the civil hospital here.

    Delhi man stops friend from assaulting wife, stabbed to death

    A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death by his inebriated friend in south Delhi's Kishangarh when he tried to stop him from assaulting his wife, police said on Sunday. The accused, identified as Mingchang alias Jimmy, has been arrested, they added.

    Chhattisgarh: Two women killed, man injured in elephant attack in Korba

    Two women were killed and a man was injured after they were attacked by a wild elephant in Chhattisgarh's Korba district on Sunday, a forest official said. The incident took place around 1 pm in the coal dumping area of the Chotia coal mine under the Katghora forest range, said Kumar Nishant, divisional forest officer (DFO) of Katghora forest division.

    8 cattle smugglers arrested in UP

    Eight cattle smugglers were arrested in a span of two days here and seven cows and 13 bulls were rescued, an official said on Sunday. Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh said Mohammad Alam, a resident of Jharkhand, was arrested from near Ranitali barrier on Saturday morning.

    An 18-year-old man was beaten up and stabbed multiple times allegedly by a group of people in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar area, police said on Sunday. The incident happened on Saturday evening. The victim is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at a hospital, they said.
