In a shocking incident, popular TV actress Sanjeeda Sheikh and her family has got into legal trouble. According to fresh reports, Sanjeeda’s sister-in-law Zakerabanu Zakir Hussain Bagban has slapped a domestic violence case against the Sheikh family. In the police complaint, Zakerabanu reportedly said that her husband Anas Abdul Rahim Sheikh and mother-in-law Anisha Sheikh and Sanjeeda yelled and beat her up. A Mumbai Mirror report suggested that Zakerabanu was speaking with her father over the phone on May 27 when the Sheikh family beat her and said that they didn’t want her in their Mumbai home any longer.
“Zakerabanu took the first flight out to Ahmedabad, where her parents are based, and was admitted to a local hospital in Sarkhej Roza. After being discharged on May 29, she lodged an FIR at Sarkhej Police Station”, the report further added.
She also said her in-laws haven’t contacted her since she left their home. “It was the final straw when Anas raised his hand on me in the presence of my mother and sister in their Mumbai home. I was hospitalised after that in Ahmedabad. I was told at the time of our marriage that he is in the construction business but he is mostly home”, Zakerabanu was quoted as saying to Mumbai Mirror.
At the moment, the case is in Love Ka Hai Intezaar actress Sanjeeda Sheikh’s favour. “The Hon’ble Court has passed an order in favour of Sanjeeda by stating that the investigating agency should not take any coercive steps against her”, the actress’s lawyer said.
