Manisha Koirala as Nargis Dutt in Sanju
After releasing intriguing posters of the upcoming film Sanju with all other important people of Sanjay Dutt’s life, Rajkumar Hirani has just released another poster of the film featuring Ranbir Kapoor with the most important woman in his life, his mother Nargis Dutt played by Manisha Koirala.
Hirani took to his social media to share the poster. He tweeted, “She lovingly called him #Sanju, and now that's what we all do too! Watch the ever so wonderful Manisha Koirala as Nargisji on 29th June”
The new poster with Manisha Koirala and Ranbir Kapoor reflects upon the mother-son relationship between Sanjay Dutt and Nargis. Looking at Manisha Koirala as Sanjay Dutt’s mother, one cannot believe if she is the real-life Nargis or not. Nargis was an Indian film actress who delivered her best work in the cinema of the 50s. She died of pancreatic cancer in 1981. It is also said that Sanjay Dutt cried after 3 years of his mother's death remembering her.
While Ranbir Kapoor has already wooed the public with his stark resemblance to Sanjay Dutt in the trailer and posters, Manisha Koirala is also sure to win hearts as Nargis.
Sanju’s father, Sunil Dutt is played by another incredibly talented actor, Paresh Rawal. Earlier Hirani shared a poster of Sanju where Ranbir Kapoor and Paresh Rawal embrace upon the father-son relationship. He tweeted, “#sanju is a father-son story. Meet the father today - Paresh Rawal. Had fun working with him”
Sanju is an ambitious project by Rajkumar Hirani that has been creating quite a buzz since it was first talked about. The Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala starrer had created high hopes among the public when its grand trailer first came out.
Ranbir has previously worked with Hirani in the Aamir Khan starrer PK. Although the role was a cameo, Ranbir did win a lot of hearts. Sanju is slated to release on 29th June 2018.
