The security arrangements have been fully strengthened for the election rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gaya and Jamui.
Both the seats will go to polls in the first phase on April 11.
Lok Sabha Elections in India will be held in 7 phases starting April 11. Counting of the votes will be done on May 23.
Rajiv Mishra, SSP of Gaya has ensured that the area will be sanitised and adequate security will be provided for the event.
"The ground where Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold his rally has already been sanitised. No one is being allowed to enter the ground. Vehicle checking is being conducted regularly to avoid any unpleasant incident," he said.
"Some routes have been diverted to efficiently manage the traffic," he added.
People attending the rally are banned from taking bags and water bottles.
In Gaya, the security of Gandhi Maidan has been handed over to SPG and every minute activity is being investigated by the security forces.
The bomb disposal squad of paramilitary forces also examined each and every important places. From Gaya airport to security of Gandhi Maidan, it has been made impermeable.
Barricading has also been done on both sides of the road.
Both the rally venues are in districts which have witnessed several violent Maoist incidents in the recent past.
This time the security has been tightened so much as earlier in October 2013, serial blasts took place ahead of PM Modi’s Hunkar rally venue in Patna. Five persons were killed and 83 injured in multiple blasts that rocked Patna’s Gandhi Maidan and the railway station.
Also hours before PM Modi addressed two meetings in Gaya, suspected Maoists blew up two mobile towers of a private telecom company.
Keeping mind the two major tragedies that took place before 2014 Lok Sabha election, the security of Gaya nad Jamui has been tightened.
