"The (accused) went to Lucknow and from there proceeded to Mewat, where they had remained in hiding. Yesterday, they came from Mewat to visit the Marqas Madarsa and were nabbed," said a senior police official.

Rehana, Aleem's second wife, was found murdered on the morning of October 9 at her New Jafrabad residence in northeast Delhi. The MLA was outside the country at the time.

Although police managed to crack the murder mystery on October 13 with the arrest of their driver Mohd Nadeem, the two brothers had been at large since then.

"Relations between Aleem and his first wife Kehkasha and her two sons, Danish and Anas, were not cordial. Aleem often used to have arguments with them over petty issues. The two sons (were unhappy) over a property learnt to be worth Rs 1 crore which was owned by Rehana in Delhi," said a police official.
