Though she went to Udala police station to lodge a complaint, the police refused to accept it.

She then filed a case at the SDJM court, which later directed the police to register the case and initiate investigation.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under Section 376(D), 506 and 34 of IPC.

SDPO Kailash Chandra Nayak said investigation was going on and the victim had been medically examined.

Meanwhile, Soren denied all allegations against him and termed them baseless and false.

The MLA says he is innocent, he does not know the woman, and he is even prepared for a CBI probe.  "It's a political conspiracy against me", says Soren.
