New Delhi: YouTube has added support for 15 new languages to its navigation. The languages on the list are Punjabi, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Georgian, Kazakh, Khmer, Kirghiz, Lao, Macedonian, Mongolian, Myanmar (Burmese), Nepali, Sinhala, Albanian, Uzbek.
The addition of the South Asian languages is particularly notable given YouTube's expansion into countries like India, where Google recently hosted a YouTube FanFest event.
While videos are still only available in the languages they are recorded in, the new browsing languages will make videos more accessible around the globe by translating links, buttons, and text.
This 15 new additions will take the total number of languages on the site to 76 which covers nearly 95 per cent of the Internet population.
