New Delhi: Asanas are the different postures that help in making human body physically healthy and fit. For promoting yoga activities, PM Narendra Modi introduced the concept of commemorating June 21 every year as International Yoga Day. This is the second year of the conception where a yoga session was led by the PM with army officers, physically challenged people and school students in attendance in Chandigarh. Shashankasana: This asana aims to provide rest and relaxation to the body. It is also beneficial for people suffering from headache and sinus congestion.
Ardha Matsyendrasana: It helps in increasing the flexibility level of hips and spines. It also helps in cleaning internal organs for better digestion.
Bhadrasana: It helps in reducing stress and tiredness. It also provide stimulation in reproductive and digestive organs.
Anulom Vilom: It helps in maintaining the inhaling process and remove toxins from the body.
Bhramari Pranayama: It is an instant process for relieve tension, anger and anxiety. It also helps in improving concentration and memory and build up confidence.
Uttan Mandukasana: It helps in improving blood circulation as well as lung power in the body.
Pavana Muktasana: It improves the metabolism of human body and helps in reducing fat. Women suffering from abnormal displacement of the uterus should do this asana for relaxation.
Ardh Chakrasana: This asana helps in stimulating digestive organs and reduce flab in hips and thighs.
Trikonasana: It helps in improving flexibility of the spine, corrects alignment of the shoulders and acidity. It also reduces stiffness in knees and shoulders.
Setu Bandhasana: Provides immediate relaxation to tired back. It helps in maintaining the level of anxiety, stress and depression.
