Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Arjun Patiala's release has been postponed. Film's co-producer Bhushan Kumar took to Twitter to share the new release date. "Laugh riot with the new release date coming your way! Arjun Patiala to release on July 19," he tweeted. For unversed, the movie was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on May 3. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, Arjun Patiala is also being produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.

With the new release date, Arjun Patiala will now be clashing with Sunny Deol's directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which will introduce his son Karan Deol. The film also stars Fukrey fame Varun Sharma. While Diljit and Varun will be seen as police officers, Kriti will essay the role of a crime reporter Ritu Randhawa. Diljit plays the titular role whereas Varun will play the character named Onida Singh.

Talking about Diljit's role in the film, producer Dinesh Vijan had earlier said, "Diljit will be seen in the uniform but very different to his avatar in his first Hindi film outing, Udta Punjab, who is out to bust a drug cartel. This police wala is a laugh-a-minute character with a swagger that is all Diljit who will have you rolling with his quirky sense of humour which he has trademarked back home."

On a related note, Kriti is currently basking in the success of her last release Luka Chuppi. The rom-com based in the small town garnered immense love from audience. Earlier, Kriti was seen in another small-town girl character in Bareilly Ki Barfi, which performed well at the box office. Meanwhile, Diljit was last seen in Bollywood film Soorma, co-starring Taapsee Pannu.
