Mixt lets users type 300-character SMS messages, compared to the industry norm of 140 characters. Mxit also allows users to send audio clips, group chats, photos, mood updates, option for disabling avatars to reduce data consumption, creation of multiple profiles, and incorporates apps for sports, news, weather, entertainment, education, learning tools and more.
