Tirupati: The ongoing trial of the 356 red sanders smugglers and woodcutters purportedly involved in the double murder case of two forest officials N.R. Sridhar and David Karunakar in Seshachalam forests in December last year has put the cops in a spot of hassle.
Tirupati urban police wing that embarked on widespread comb-out operations after the brutal killings inside the Seshachalam forests, arrested as many as 356 smugglers and woodcutters for the illegal offences such as murder and dacoity.
Out of the 356, four of them are juveniles. one of the smugglers died due to illness in jail.
