The Government of India agreed to procure 110 lakh Covishield vaccine doses from Serum Institute of India (SII) at Rs 200/dose. 55 lakh doses of Covaxin to be procured from Bharat Biotech(BBIL), of which 38.5 lakh doses priced at Rs 295/dose: Health Ministry
As COVID-19 vaccination drive in India is set to rollout on January 16, the responsibility to transport the Covishield vaccine from Serum Institute of India's main hub to government depots is given to Kool-ex.
To assess the readiness of the mechanism laid out for the Covid-19 vaccination drive, a dry run has been planned by the Centre on December 28 and 29 in 4 States.
