Delhi Capitals co-owner and Chairman Parth Jindal's animated gestures asking Sanju Samson to walk off after being controversially adjudged out by the third umpire has gone viral on social media. The fans are slamming the former for his actions. Amidst the backlash, the franchise posted a video of Parth speaking to Sanju Samson and Rajasthan Royals' owner Manoj Badale after the match and having a friendly chat with them.

Things were heated up in the middle when the incident happened in the 16th over of the Royals' innings. Samson was not happy with the third umpire's decision who didn't consider the angle where Shai Hope's foot seemed to have touched the boundary cushion while taking the catch. When Samson was talking to the umpires on the field, the DC co-owner's animated actions hogged the limelight. At the same time, even head coach Ricky Ponting and mentor Sourav Ganguly seemed displeased with the batter not walking off the field.

However, sanity prevailed in the end with Samson on his way to the dugout but the fans seemed to be irked not only with the umpiring but also with Parth Jindal. Coming back to the video posted by the Delhi Capitals on social media, the DC Chairman can be seen having a friendly chat with the Royals skipper as he also congratulated him on the T20 World Cup selection.

"Our Chairman and Co-owner, Parth Jindal, caught up with Rajasthan Royals' captain Sanju Samson & owner Manoj Badale, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium last night, after what was an exceptional contest of cricket. Parth also extended his congratulations to the RR skipper on being selected for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup," DC wrote on Twitter.

Soon after the video was posted, the fans started taking potshots at the Capitals calling it a cover-up and damage control for Parth Jindal's actions earlier in the evening. Here are some of the hilarious reactions:
