Sensex breaches 75,000-mark for first time ever; Nifty reaches new record peak of 22,765.30

The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 494.28 points to settle at a new closing peak of 74,742.50. The NSE Nifty climbed 152.60 points to 22,666.30. Meanwhile, The rupee settled on a flat note on Monday at 83.31 against the US dollar.
The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 307.22 points to reach a record high of 74,555.44 while the NSE Nifty climbed 79.6 points to 22,593 in early trade.
The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 350.81 points to settle at its lifetime high of 74,227.63. Meanwhile, the broader NSE Nifty also hit its fresh peak of 22,514.65, gaining 80 points.
In the previous trading session on Monday, the BSE Sensex had recorded a notable increase of 363 points, closing at 74,014. Similarly, the NSE Nifty50 also ended positively, reaching 22,462, up by 135 points.
The 30-share BSE Sensex advanced 342.48 points to 73,338.79 in early trade, extending its previous day's gain. The Nifty climbed 96.25 points to 22,219.90.

On the Sensex, stocks of NTPC, PowerGrid, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, and Tata Motors witnessed significant gains, while Airtel, ICICI Bank, Maruti, and Asian Paints ended in the red.
Riding on the positive global cues, the 30-share BSE Sensex surged 595.02 points to 72,696.71. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty climbed 181.85 points to 22,020.95.
