AAP leader Ashutosh's comment against the lt. governor came after media reports appeared that Jung sought the solicitor general's opinion on the Lokpal bill that the Delhi cabinet has cleared and was told the bill is required to go to the lt. governor's office and needs the union government's clearance before it can be enacted.
The Delhi cabinet Monday cleared the draft of the anti-graft Delhi Lokpal Bill, 2014, and said the bill would be passed in a special assembly session to be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium here Feb 16.
Lovely reiterated the Congress's stand of opposing the Lokpal bill when tabled in the house as it was "unconstitutional".
"We support a strong Lokpal bill but will not support this unconstitutional bill. This government has not followed all the legal formalities. This government needs to work as per the constitution," said Lovely.
