The entire film fraternity came together in support of empowerment of women at Mijwan Sonnets in Fabric 2014. The event held at the Grand Hyatt on April 1 witnessed some of the biggest stars walking the red carpet.Manish Malhotra presented ‘Men for Mijwan' fashion show in support of the Mijwan Welfare Society. The NGO, which has been established by popular poet, Late Kaifi Azmi is today being run by his daughter and the veteran actress Shabana Azmi and her godchild Namrata Goyal.It was a complete starry event as Bollywood's most ravishing giltteratis walked down the red carpet adorning exquisite hues of pink and white. While Shabana Azmi and husband Javed Akhtar remained totally decked up in vivid colours, a splash of vivaciously looking celebrities was seen at the red carpet. Sonakshi Sinha, Kalki Koechlin, Kajol and Tanishaa Mukherjee, Yami Gautam, Urmila Matondkar, Sushmita Sen, Aditi Rao Hyadri and Parineeti Chopra are a few names amongst those who raised the bar of beauty in terms of attendance at the event. While big names including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Farhan Akhtar stunned at the ramp, Jaya Bachchan, Neetu Singh, Adhuna AKhtar and Dia Mirza too graced the Mijwan fashion show by being in the front row. Sonakshi Sinha, who truly rocks the traditional look as she dons sarees and suits perfectly apt, didn't impress with this look at the do. Though her outfit had everything perfect, it was her hairdo and makeup that failed to entice. Gorgeous Kajol wowed with her make up and her usual charming personality but it was her choice of ensemble again that made her look little awful. The earring pick up was a complete nay and so was the fit of her palazzo pants that she teamed with her Manish Malhotra white embroidered kurti. Tanishaa Mukherjee, who was accompanied by elder sister Kajol at the event draped a Lucknawi embroidered aqua blue saree. She looked good if that blocked neckpiece and her way of draping the saree can be avoided.Sophie Choudry, the lady with a sassy frame pulls off almost everything with much grace and wonder! And she does exactly same with this heavily flared lehenga. Sophie also hosted the Mijwan 2014 fashion show. Kalki Koechlin spilled her pretty charisma by wearing this princess white dress. Her right amount of make up and that perfect hair do stole the limelight at the red carpet of the event. 'Cocktail' fame actress Diana Penty arrived in a royal blue creation embellished with golden sequence details. Her look had nothing to go wrong about. She looked beautiful. Parineeti Chopra chose a pink and grey anarkali suit for the event. Though we liked the fit, her make up was too flat and her choice of foot wears ruined the over all look. Graceful actress Sonali Bendre arrived with hubby Goldi Behl at the event and choose to carry a saree. Though with that splendid features and ever mesmerizing persona, she can carry anything with utmost grace, it was that golden coloured blouse that pinched us when we saw her accompanying her beautiful ivory saree with it.The graceful Bollywood diva, Urmila Matondkar rocked the indo-western fusion with that golden outfit. Her style of draping that heavily sequined dupatta made her looked much slimmer.The bubbly-pretty beauty Aditi Rao Hyadri looked amazing in that white lehenga.She appeared wonderful donning that beautiful smile with utmost grace and oomph.Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen adorned an exquisite champage coloured ensemble. Her updo was a bit out-of-the-box but she looked great posing confidently for the shutterbugs.Yami Gautam, who is in news nowadays for being the target of 'Fair & Lovely' jokes, spilled her enchanted charm on teh red carpet there. She looked pretty with that minimal doze of makeup adorning a beautiful pink-grey creation. Actor Pratiek Babbar too graced the red carpet and chose to go traditional with a wine coloured bandhgala sherwani. Pop singer Mika rocked his usual funky loo and came dressed up in a grey coloured formal suit. Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chaddha, Dia Mirza and Aditi Rao Hyadri, a splash of Bollywood beauties posed together for the lens. Each of them looked equally mesmerizing t the red carpet. Jackky Bhagnani, who is rejoicing a lot of accolades for his acting in the recent 'Youngistaan,' came donning traditional.He continued his 'Youungistaan' flavour here too and wore a blue coloured bandhgala jacket with jodhpuri pants at the red carpet. Bollywood actress Vidya Malvade too marked her presence at the event and managed to look sexy in that revealing traditional outfit.Actress Neetu Singh arrived in a beautiful sophisticated black outfit.She supported his son and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor who walked down the ramp for Manish Malhotra's 'Men for Mijwan.'Singer Ila Arun arrived in her typical traditional avatar. And while her larger than life bindi always make her look apart, her bright yellow anarkali too suited her persona best.Farhan Akhtar's wife and popular bollywood hair stylist, Adhuna AKhtar arrived rocking her usual casual style.She supported husband Farhan Akhtar who too walked down the ram at Mijawan 2014 fashion show. Namrata Goyal. who is the Godchild of poet and father of Shabana Azmi, Late Kaifi Azmi too donned white.Namrata also co-run the NGO Mijwan with Shabana Azmi. Actress Dia Mirza spilled her magical persona on the red carpet of Mijwan 2014 too. Her ecstatic beauty came filtered as she donned that perfect outfit in white. One of the Bollywood's favourite designers, Manish Mallhotra looked dapper there. Manish has adopted a Mijwan village and supported the NGO with his 'Men for Mijwan' fashion show. Actress Parizaad Zorabian appeared in an emerald creation and was acccompanied with hubby at the do.Actor Rohit Roy attended the event with his wife and a popular TV face, Manasi Joshi Roy.The duo arrived in all white and looked completely picture perfect. The famous comedian and director of Bollywood, Satish Kaushik arrived with wife.
