According to sources,one of the main reasons for the under performance of the alliance in an area that was the focal point of the famers' agitation against the ruling BJP, was faulty candidate selection and swapping of candidates.

The Rashtriya Lok Dal will contest three Lok Sabha seats as part of an alliance with the SP and the BSP, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said on Tuesday.
The three have ben identified as Saurabh Deshwal, Sumit Dangi and Lukki Deshwal, the ASP said, adding efforts are on to nab them.
