If Kamal Nath, a Congress stalwart in Madhya Pradesh, leaves Congress, this would be the fourth big departure from the grand old party after Baba Siddique, Milind Deora, and Ashok Chavan just ahead of crucial Lok Sabha elections.

Kamal Nath news: The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath is said to be disgruntled over not getting a Rajya Sabha berth and also Rahul Gandhi being opposed to him since the party lost the assembly polls late last year.

Chhindwara is a bastion of Kamal Nath, who was MP from the seat for nine terms, while Nakul Nath won in the 2019 polls, even as BJP swept the remaining 28 seats in the state.
