Apple iPhone XS launched: Specs, features and price revealed

Apple, on Wednesday, went on to unveil its 2018 lineup of its smartphones that includes the iPhone XS. The event happened at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. Apple CEO, Tim Cook took the stage at the event and went on to claim that the iPhone was the 'number one smartphone in the world' that comes with a 98 percent customer satisfaction rate.

The iPhone XS runs on iOS 12 out of the box and sports a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED (1125x2234 pixels) Retina display, with a notch. The display comes with a 120Hz of touch frame rate and also Apple has gone and improved the stereo speakers that produce wider sound.

The 2018 iPhones come with Dual SIM functionality. The handset is powered by a new 6-core A12 Bionic chip with 2 performance cores that is 15 percent faster with 40 percent lower power than last years A11 chip. The GPU, on the other hand, offers 50 percent higher performance with higher memory bandwidth. The neural engine is extremely powerful that can do 5 trillion operations, which is an up from 600 billion, compared to last years model.

Apple has launched the iPhone XS in three storage variants with the higher one that has a 512GB storage option, followed with 256GB version and the 64GB variant. Pricing for the 64GB version starts at $999, $1149 for the 256 GB one and $1349 for the 512 GB variant. Apple is playing safe with the colours and has launched the iPhone XS in Space Gray, Silver and Gold.
