Ahmedabad, Oct 29:Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said today that he would campaign against the Congress in Gujarat until November 8.

However, Ramdev who had earlier praised Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi claimed that he will not promote the ruling BJP here, but support whoever can defeat Congress.

Ramdev will start his campaign in Alampur village from Bhavnagar district from tomorrow and then travel to Halol, Panchmahal, Nadiad and Bilimora among others.

“During the Ramlila Maidan agitation I had said that we will campaign against Congress and we are going to do that in Gujarat,” Ramdev said addressing reporters here.
“Congress is like a cancer and everybody should work to remove it from the system”, Ramdev said.

Asked if his campaign would benefit Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Ramdev said, “I am not campaigning for any party but against the Congress. Anybody who can defeat Congress will have our support”.

On the issue of allegations against BJP president Nitin Gadkari, Ramdev said that “The Congress government is involved in big scams like 2G, coalgate and Common Wealth Games, while allegations against the BJP president only involves use of fake addresses”.

He went on the add that there should be an inquiry into every allegation of corruption.

“Congress is a greater evil, while other parties are lesser evils as far as corruption is concerned,” he said.
