    Bengal: Images of class 10 English paper circulated on social media

    Purported images of English question papers of class 10 board exams in West Bengal were circulated on social media after the commencement of the examinations on Saturday, a day after Bengali papers similarly went viral. West Bengal Board of Secondary Examinations president Ramanuj Ganguly said 12 candidates have been punished in connection with the incident after the English question papers shared on social media were scrutinised and authenticity was confirmed. They have been barred from sitting for the rest of the examinations and their Bengali paper of the previous day has also been cancelled.

    Manipur CM meets Amit Shah, says Centre set to take important decisions on state

    Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday said the Centre is set to take "some important decisions" in the interests of the people of the state. He said this after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah where he discussed "matters of paramount importance" concerning Manipur. Later he met senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the North Block here and said he had "a productive discussion on the strategic measures undertaken for fostering peace in Manipur".

    Man strangles wife 2 months after marriage in UP's Shamli

    A man in a village of nearby Shamli district allegedly strangled his 25-year-old wife after a fight with her on Saturday, police said. Shamli Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Kumar Singh said Saiba was strangled to death by her husband Sultan in Ambeta village under Kandhla Police Station area.

    Man commits suicide after killing minor son in Rajasthan's Bikaner

    West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday announced that her government would transfer funds to the bank accounts of 21 lakh unpaid MGNREGA workers in the state by February 21.     17-year-old hangs self in UP's Meerut

    The body of a 17-year-old girl was found hanging in a room of her house in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, police said on Saturday. According to preliminary investigation, the girl allegedly died by suicide as she did not want to live with her mother, they added. The incident took place on Friday night when the minor allegedly hanged herself from a peg in the room using a 'dupatta', said Senior Superintendent of Police Rohit Singh Sajwan.

    3 killed as a small plane crashes into a Florida mobile home

    About 10 people had enjoyed a day of golf and were having drinks inside a woman's mobile home moments before a small plane crashed and obliterated the property, an eyewitness said Friday. The pilot and two people on the ground were killed, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
