Rishi Kapoor shares throwback picture from Pancham Da’s birthday when Asha Bhosle cooked for them

Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is very active on Twitter. The actor not just keeps treating his fans with a daily dose of laughter mixed in his opinions but also gives them a blast from the past every now and then. On Tuesday night, the actor again took to his Twitter to share a throwback picture featuring late music director R D Burman and late film producer Nasir Hussain among others. The picture he shared was taken at Pancham Da’s birthday party which he attended along with other Bollywood friends. Rishi Kapoor also shared the story behind the picture and also revealed that on that day, Pancham Da’s wife and popular Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle cooked food for them.

Sharing the picture, Rishi Kapoor wrote, "This picture was shot on Pancham's birthday at his sitting room/residence. The gentleman behind me is not Manna Dey sahab but my favourite Nasir Husain sahab. Such a fun picture. Asha Bhonsle ji cooked for us that night. Pancham's unreleased music from several films regaled us." It is that old school black and white picture which is bound to refresh many gone memories of Bollywood. Check out the picture here-

Coincidentally, Asha Bhosle also took to her twitter on the same day and shared a picture of herself cooking in one of her restaurants in Manchester. She captioned the picture as, "Too many cooks spoil the broth Cooking up a storm in Asha’s Restaurant, Manchester"

On the related note, rishi Kapoor is currently in New York where he is getting health treatment. The veteran actor moved to NYC in last September along with wife Neetu Kapoor for his cancer treatment. While the actor hid that news of his cancer for a long timw but recently, his brother randhir Kapoor made a statement that the actor is recovering from cancer which confirmed the rumours.

Recently, Rishi Kapoor himself spoke about his health and how he received treatment in New York for eight months. While talking to Deccan Chronicle, Rishi Kapoor said, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free." Despite being cancer-free, there are few portions of the medical treatment still left for Rishi Kapoor to return to his home in India. He added, "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum."

On the work front, Rishi Kapoor was last seen in the courtroom drama Mulk alongside Taapsee Pannu.
