Bollywood star Aamir Khan met Hollywood actor Roger Moore in Berlin recently and showed him portions of his film Peepli Live.
The two actors bonded over films. They spoke at length about Peepli Live and Moore said that he loved what little he saw of Aamir's film at the event. Moore is best known for playing the British secret agent James Bond in seven films from 1973 to 1985.
Moore also expressed his desire to watch the entire film. Aamir said he would love to show the film but was apologetic as he was not carrying a print.
“ Yes, Aamir did meet Roger Moore and they spoke about Peepli Live . Aamir has promised Moore that he will arrange a screening of Peepli Live for him at the earliest,” an official spokesperson of Aamir Khan Production said.
The two were in Berlin to attend a fund-raising event titled Burda Live 2010.
Aamir used the opportunity to showcase an exclusive cut of his forthcoming production Peepli Live. Aamir was the only Indian actor at the event and was accompanied by his wife Kiran Rao.
The event was a fund- raiser for South African children suffering from AIDS. There was a gala dinner where celebrities such as Moore, Karl Largerfeld, Nick Nolte, Keira Chaplin and Sean Hepburn Ferrer were present.
Aamir was pleasantly surprised when he got to sit at the same table with Moore.
