Amit Jhigan, an accomplice of Sharma, was arrested on 8th of May, 1999.He was charged with conspiracy to destroy the evidence from the scene. It's believed that he had retrieved the pistol from its original hiding place near the club. While he was remanded in custody, Yadav was still at large. Even his father wasn't found anywhere.
