Vir Das has dropped a new comedy special, Outside In. He says he did not plan to make this into a show and that getting it to a point where it felt like he wanted to put it out was tough for him.

When asked about the challenge of doing comedy while facing threats and social media vitriol, Das said the experience can be daunting but one must not stop creating new content.
Vir Das has released his latest fundraiser show "Inside Out" on his YouTube channel. He says the effort has given him an opportunity to reach out to frontline workers who risk their lives to fight Covid, as well as people who are often marginalised -- like the aged.
"Week on week the encouraging response kept pouring in and we knew there was enough material to make a special. We recorded all the virtual shows in advance and it's turned out quite interesting," said Vir Das.
Vir Das posted a picture in which he shares smiles and dances with local people of Ladakh, during an earlier visit to the Himalayan region.
Vir Das' remarks came a day after several comics, including Aadar Malik, Sahil Shah and Azeem Banatwalla, apologised for their years old and "out-of-context" videos and social media posts that have resurfaced online.
Taapsee Pannu, Renuka Sahane, Vir Das and Dino Morea took to Twitter to question electricity company for the sudden rise in their electricity bills.
In his latest tweet, Vir Das has urged his fellow actors to treat everyone equally irrespective of their role and power status.
Vir Das currently has three comedy specials -- "Abroad Understanding", "Losing It" and "Vir Das For India"-- being streamed on Netflix.
Dismissing the incident as "lockdown behaviour", the actor claimed that the man in question has been harassing him, his wife, his staff and many people in his housing society for "eight months".
Hasmukh features Das in the titular role of a young man from Saharanpur, who has to kill people off stage to perform better on stage. The series premiered on Netflix on April 17.
The plea filed by Advocate Ashutosh Dubey sought the court's directions to Vir Das' Hasmukh producers, directors and writer to tender unconditional apology online, saying that the web series had "maligned the image of the lawyers' community, which includes judges.
Hasmukh traces the story of an unusual character who is timid and awkward until he commits a murder.
In his latest Netflix show 'Vir Das: For India', Vir has spoken at length about desi things, including Chyawanprash.

Vir Das's second, Losing It, started streaming on the platform from December 11.
