Most of the countries celebrate “International Teachers Day” on October 5, while in the United States, it is celebrated on the first Tuesday of May, and in China, September 10 is celebrated as Teachers Day
President Kovind also appreciated the work done by doctors, nurses and health workers during the pandemic outbreak.
President Kovind will inaugurate a 1,000-seater auditorium named after Sampurnanand, a scholar of Sanskrit and Hindi, and founder of the Sainik School in 1960
Among the selected teachers, two each are from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Gujarat, and Bihar
The president said that the reality is that no infrastructure, even of advanced economies, could withstand a crisis of such enormous proportions.
