Lalu had earlier written to AIIMS authorities not to shift him to Ranchi as the hospital there was not well equipped. "If my life is threatened by this decision, then you (AIIMS) will be held responsible, " Lalu wrote. However, AIIMS said that he was fit to be discharged.
This is 51st fodder scam case in which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court has delivered judgment.
Prasad, who has been serving prison term in Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi since December 23 last year, is currently undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) due to chest pain and discomfort.
The court had convicted the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader in case relating to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from December 1995 to January 1996 from the Dumka treasury.
The hearing in the fodder case, relating to fraudulent withdrawals of Rs 3.13 crore from the Dumka treasury between December 1995 and January 1996, was completed on March 5.
Besides former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Yadav and Jagannath Mishra, there are 29 accused, including former IAS officers and AHD officials, in the Dumka Treasury case.
No date has been fixed yet for the pronouncement of judgement in the case which is related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from Dumka Treasury (RC 38A/96).

In a written plea, the 69-year-old leader who is lodged in the central jail since his conviction on December 23, had sought leniency due to his illness and old age.
