New Delhi, Jun 11: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has  ruled out alliance with any political party in the state in the coming Lok Sabha polls even as she greeted her "good friend" Narendra Modi on his elevation as BJP's election campaign committee chief.

"Coming to the issue of alliance in the Lok Sabha polls, I have already stated very clear several times. The aim of the AIADMK is to win all the 40 seats - 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry for itself. So where is the question of any alliance," the AIADMK supremo told reporters here on Monday.

She said this when asked whether developments in BJP after elevation of the Gujarat Chief Minister would affect the possible electoral ties with that party in Lok Sabha polls.

"I can't divulge plans right now. My plans are to win all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. That is all I can say for the time being," she said to a query.

The AIADMK chief termed as "internal matter of BJP" the resignation of L K Advani from key party positions.

"Whatever has happened is purely is an internal matter of BJP party. Politically, I do not think it would be proper for me to make any kind of comment on it," she said in a similar vein earlier in the day in Chennai when asked about Modi's elevation in BJP.

"But at the personal level, I will only say that Narendra Modi is a good friend of mine. My good wishes are always with him. Whether he wins an election in Gujarat or whether he achieves an elevation within his own party, I am happy for him. That is all I have to say," Jayalalithaa said.
