New Delhi, Feb 28: A number of new and sensational information have tumbled out in the Arun Jaitley's call records case. Although the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has clarified in the Rajya Sabha today that attempts had been made indeed to access Arun Jaitley's phone records but no information had been obtained."This was not the case of phone tapping. The Delhi Police has made some arrests, they said we came to know some person sought to know call record data of Arun Jaitley... The call data records were not disclosed," Shinde told Rajya Sabha.But the case does not look that simple. New disclosures suggest that a number of BJP leaders were on the radar of those who were trying to get access to Arun Jaitley's Call Data Records (CDR). Police sources say that BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari, Sudhanshu Mittal and Vijay Goel were also being tracked by those involved in Jaitley's CDR spying case. According to sources, more than 60 people including Lalit Modi and Mumbai businessman Nitin Shah were also on target of this group. In the meantime, JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari has also alleged that he and his party leaders are being spied upon. He said that it has come to his knowledge that he and his party leader N K Singh are being tracked by vested interests.Now the million dollar question is – is Arun Jaitley's case just a tip of the iceberg? Is there a larger conspiracy behind the entire phone tapping episode? It should be recalled that Police has arrested Arvind Dabas, a constable,who allegedly tried to get access to the Call Details Record (CDR) of Arun Jaitley. Dabas tried to get the CDR using the login and password of an assistant Commissioner of Police. But the question is - How can a police constable even dare to use the login and password of an assistant Commissioner of Police without the support and knowledge of higher authorities? Is there any political rivalry behing these incidents of phone tapping? What is interesting is that the four arrested detectives in Jaitley CDR Case are very rich and police have come across startling facts about these private detectives.The investigation reveals that in order to hack and illegally obtain the call records of VVIPs, Anurag Singh, one of the arrested detectives, had procured many 'Encrypted Devices' from Israel and other countries. These devices as well as numerous software obtained by Anurag are mainly used by army and intelligence agecnies including Mossad (of Isreal), IB, RAW, NTRO, etc.Police believe that Arvind Dabas, the arrested constable, also used these devices procured by Anurag Singh's company 'V-Detect' that runs from an upmarket commercial complex of Connaught Place. These devices can hack anybody's mobile phones, their call details and even their email accounts. These machines and softwars that cost from Rs 5000 to Rs 5 crores are used for coding/decoding of languages/phone call conversations etc.Let's have a look at the profiles of all the arrested persons in this case:1. Arvind Dabas:A native of Bulnadshahr, U.P, Arvind Dabas joined Delhi Police in 1997. His eariler stints were in 3rd Battalion that is entrusted with the task of carrying under trial prisoners to court from jail. In 2008, he was transferred to Special Staff of New Delhi District. Special Staff is a kind of Crime Branch at district level. Special Staff, generally headed by an Inspector works under ACP, Operations office (situated in Parliament Street Police Station premises). While working at Special Staff, he came in contact with various criminal gangs.While working at Special Staff, he came to know that CDR of any mobile number could be sought by sending email from ACP, Operations email account to any service provider. He also got access to user ID and the password of ACP's email account.He also took advantage of the fact that charge of ACP Operations was looked after by ACP of Chankyapuri Sub-Division, Bhoop Singh. Bhoop singh, being supervisor of a VVIP/Diplomatic area was too busy in Chankyapuri with tackling security and law & order problems. There was no full fleged ACP, Operations.Arvind Dabas was considered as a bully and even used to misbehave with his senior officials and had even abused an inspector, after which he was removed from Special Staff.Aftr Arvind Dabas was removed from Special Staff, he went on a long leave from March 2012. He was still on leave when arrested.when Police arrested Arvind Dabas for spying on Arun Jaitley, it came to fore that he was working as CEO of a motor-car workshop in Noida. He was owner of this workshop and preferred to call himself as CEO (Mangalam Motor workshop, Sector 57, Noida).Fond of ultra luxury cars, he had shot a picture with Bentley car. It is believed that this Bentley car is owned by Arvind Dabas. But his relatives, who had come to court for his hearing, denied that he owned this Bentley car.He was in touch with 2 senior leaders of Uttarakhand BJP unit when arrested. When asked by police, if Arun Jaitley's call details has something to do wth these two BJP leaders, he concocted a story of a 'big land deal' with them.He has an ill wife and two children in his house, who live near GTB Enclave area of Trans-Yamuna region.2. Anurag Singh:Anurag Singh is owner of a private detective agency, 'V-Detect' that has an office in Competent House Building of Connaught Place.He was first arrested in Amar Singh phone tapping case of 2005/2006 (FIR was registered in 2005 and he was arrested on 5th Jan, 2006). He was accused of illegally tapping phone calls of Amar Singh along with 2 employees of a service provider company. He was charge sheeted in the case and was on bail these days.Son of a senior customs officials parents, Anurag Singh had worked for Delhi Police as well as intelligence agencies in an 'unofficial' capacity as he was a cyber expert as well as a hacker. His father was DG, Customs and mother Collector (Customs).An MBBS by degree, he was married to a lecturer of Delhi University and has a house in Defence Colony.3. Neeraj: He is a 'freelance detective'. With the help of his good contacts in Delhi Police, he used to guarantee hacking of anybody's email accounts or CDR.Neeraj is considered as a middleman between Constable Arvind Dabas and Anurag Singh. 4. Nitesh: He used to work as Manager in Anurag Singh's company.Delhi Police is yet to fully decipher who all were behind the phone tapping of Arun Jaitley. But one thing is for sure, there is definitely more to this case than what meets the eyes.
