Ravan Dahan 2023 Time

According to the scriptures, it is auspicious to burn Ravan during Pradosh Kaal after sunset. In such a situation, this year it would be better to perform Ravan Dahan after 05.43 pm on 24th October. The best time for Ravan Dahan on Dussehra 2023 is from 07.19 pm to 08.54 pm.

Dussehra Puja Vidhi

  • Dussehra worship is done only in Abhijit Muhurta, Aparahra Kaal or Vijay Muhurta.
  • For puja at home, clean the northeast corner thoroughly. Make Ashtadal Chakra there with sandalwood paste.
  • Now pray to Goddess Aparajita with the mantra 'Aparajitay Namah' in the middle of the Ashtadal Chakra.
  • Now pray to Maa Jaya on the right side with the mantra 'Kriyashaktyai Namah'.
  • Pray to Goddess Vijaya on the left side with 'Umayi Namah' mantra.
  • Worship all three goddesses with the Shodopachar method. Then pray to Shri Ram and Hanuman ji also.
  • Clean the weapons and worship them as per the rituals.
  • Goddess Aparajita is worshiped on this day, it is said that Shri Ram also worshiped Maa Aparajita to conquer Lanka.
